McCrone has received numerous awards in its 86 year history. Attesting to our quality work and strong commitment to the communities we serve, we proudly present a list of recent acknowledgements:
McCrone received and Excellence in Engineering 2016 Honor Award from the American Academy of Environmental Engineering and Sciences (AAEES) for Cultural Integration in Wastewater Treatment-SBA Temple. The AAEES recognizes organizations and individuals who have made contributions to environmental engineering, environmental science, and public health/environmental protection at their annual Awards Luncheon at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
Recognized by Bock & Clark (the National Coordinators of ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys) two months in a row for consistent and complete surveys that conform to the Bock & Clark format and specific project requirements, outstanding customer service, responsiveness and on-time delivery.
In a comprehensive review of watershed plans submitted to the EPA, the following statement was said by the agency about a watershed plan prepared by McCrone:
“The Corsica River Watershed Plan on the Eastern Shore of Maryland may be the best watershed-based plan submitted to EPA for review. The plan has an impressive format where each recommended management measure was discussed in the context of evaluation criteria, milestones, implementation needs, and expected load reductions. It was a simple management strategy to follow and should be relatively straightforward (though costly) to implement. An especially innovative component of this plan was an extensive GIS database used to inventory pollution sources, track progress, evaluate needs, and suggest plan alterations.”
Awarded by the Cecil County Chamber of Commerce
McCrone, as the civil engineer for Penn Station in Centreville, Maryland, was recognized by the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy for outstanding contributions to land use planning. The redevelopment project included a mix of first floor commercial with residential apartments on the second and third floors.
Michael Whitehill (now retired from McCrone) was recognized three times by State of Maryland Governors for participation on or Chairmanship of the Upper Eastern Shore Tributary Strategy Team.
