What better place for a gathering of water industry professionals than the city known for letting “the good times roll”? Held in eclectic New Orleans, this year’s WEFTEC was a huge success complete with vendors, seminars, and hands-on demonstrations of the latest technologies.
Our Vice President Rob Sell attended this year’s event along with professionals from all areas of the industry. The water quality conference is held annually by the Water Environmental Federation (WEF), a nonprofit association that provides technical training and education to industry professionals. WEFTEC is known for its world class seminars, expert-led training sessions, and interactive learning experience. The exhibition brought together engineers, operators, municipal leaders, and elected officials eager to connect and learn about the latest industry trends.
WEFTEC also provided a great opportunity to network and build new relationships. Rob found several new suppliers of pumps and other components for McCrone’s Maryland projects. He also attended a session that provided him with a better understanding of the facility operator’s wants, needs, and dislikes which will undoubtedly make their way into future designs and solutions.
Rob even spotted a chain and flight system similar to the one McCrone is proposing for the wastewater treatment plant in La Plata, MD, pictured above.
We’re glad to have you back, Rob, and thanks for the beignets!
